Charting a new direction for the Global Security Services Group

How should an international company secure and protect its employees, assets and thousands of corporate locations in diverse geographies for the future? That was the challenge this Global Consumer Products Company Group faced.


Challenge

Offering beverages to delight its customers across the globe, this consumer products company faced the challenge of ensuring that its strategic security operations were consistent across different geographies. It sought to develop a strategic plan and chart a new direction to thrive for the future. In particular, it wanted to:

  • Create uniform policies across the globe to secure and protect employees, assets and locations;
  • Prevent the rise of cyberattacks harming corporate hardware, software and data;
  • Limit increased terrorism impacting numerous geographies;
  • Implement rapid response protocols that could relocate employees quickly and safely;
  • Provide appropriate support services in an environment of constrained budgets;
  • and ensure the company was protected appropriately.

Congruety Approach

Global Security Services retained Congruety to support its strategic planning and implementation efforts. Congruety supported this initiative by helping leadership to:

  • Analyze internal and external competition;
  • Conduct a SWOT analysis;
  • Develop vision, mission and values;
  • Create four key goal areas with more than 20 key strategic objectives and numerous supporting tasks;
  • Gain a framework for implementation and automatic follow up;
  • Provide ongoing consulting to support the implementation and execution of the company’s strategic plan; and
  • Conduct quarterly strategic reviews to ensure that plans were on track, its leaders were focused, and its employees were aligned.

 

Results

The Global Security Services Group brought its internal leadership team together and conducted an in-depth three month strategic evaluation process.  All key stakeholders were united with a common vision, mission, and a one-year and three-year strategic plan.  This work established a framework for the future and clear objectives to create a unified approach to international and domestic security risks across the globe.
